The Journey…..

Hervé Ollier was raised in the foothills of the French Alps. After spending 10 years in the Los Angeles, CA, area he found his way to Brunswick, Maine, in 1995. It’s been ‘home’ ever since. He and his wife own a ‘hobby’ farm of 13 acres, where the landscape is dotted with goats, chickens, and dogs.

He is entirely self-taught in his craft and derives the most satisfaction from the discoveries he makes by experimenting with different techniques in woodworking.

His game benches (home page photo) are his concept and design. They are adapted from traditional board games that translate well to a bench. Every bench comes with its playing pieces in a velvet bag, and with instructions for play. Each game bench can be made in any wood and each will be a unique piece of functional art to be enjoyed, in a variety of ways, in your home!

In the Gallery, you will see photos of some of his other creations. His bowls, tables, sideboards, and built-ins are gorgeous and as individual as you are!
